On my quest to find fun and unique swimming holes, the Ozarks delivers. Echo Bluffs supports a shallow, relatively warm, stream that meanders along set beneath massive solid rock walls that create an incredibly imposing and unique backdrop. 

You can see where the water has spent millennia trying to chip away at the wall, but the wall stands strong. We can walk down here from our campsite for the evening and then continue on across the Ozarks in the morning.
