Odds and Ends

Nothing much going on today as we cross northern Nevada on our way back to the mountains and away from the desert, our longest drive of the trip, four hours to Reno.

There is a large Basque community in Elko Nevada, we had a family style Basque meal that was lovely
Triple decker, sleeps 48. Owned by a German tour group out of San Francisco, the group busses all day then Sleeps in here at night in three high bunks.

Hot Springs we spent the morning at in Steamboat Springs Colorado
I enjoy using public transportation when possible so we can leave the bus behind sometimes.
The kids get their fifth junior ranger badge of the summer, the park service provides them with a workbook that the kids work on throughout our stay
