Two science teachers, three curious kids, and one trusty old shuttle bus.

Each summer, for three months, our family of five packs into our trusty 1997 shuttlebus and set off to explore the natural wonders of North America. This is where I will write lengthy run-on sentences about it.

This is primarily a site for friends and family to follow along from trailhead to trailhead and for me to journal online about the journey. In an effort to reduce our use of social media, Trail Nerds is where I will share our trials and joys of adventuring with young kids.
